Kasa Smart Video Doorbell KD110 – 2K HD, Hardwired, Night Vision, 2-Way Audio, Real-Time Alerts, Cloud & SD Storage, Works with Alexa & Google Home

I bought this doorbell camera after reading several favorable reviews, to replace my previous camera (Feit) which had some major issues. I didn't want to pay for a subscription and I wanted to easily locate and play back what the camera had detected. I also wanted a camera that looked good. Check Check Check. And this camera costs much less than most.Kasa is part of the TP-Link family and I have had good performance using their routers. (I don't know how secure they are...probably on par with any product from China.) The only issue I have is that the doorbell camera is not compatible with my existing chime. However, it comes with a plug-in chime that works very well. They tell you that it will work with multiple chime modules, BUT YOU CAN'T BUY ONE WITHOUT THE CAMERA. That's insane, and warrants the loss of a star, except the camera works so well, I didn't deduct it.I decided to purchase a couple of indoor cameras for when we are away (don't like cameras indoors when we're at home). I bought two inexpensive Tapo ptz cameras which are also part of the TP-Link family. They should work on the same Kasa app - right? Nope. Almost returned them but then found out I could link the Kasa camera to the Tapo app (apparently, not the other way around). So all good.Bottom line...very happy with the doorbell camera. You don't need to pay a lot more and then continue to pay for a subscription.

Big upgrade from the battery powered one I had before. Easy install, easy setup, easy sync. Hardwires in so no charging, always has power, always recording. Added a 128 gb SD card, so all instances of motion or people approaching my door (it does distinguish the difference between someone driving by and someone walking up) are bookmarked in the recording. Recording overwrite starts approximately every ten days. Allows for two way conversation with someone at the door via the phone app, or automated responses that you can select. No subscription is required to use these features. Highly recommend if you want an inexpensive option for a doorbell camera that doesn't lock the features behind subscription costs.

The Kasa Smart video doorbell camera has been a great upgrade to my home security. The video quality is sharp both day and night, and the wide-angle view lets me see everything at my doorstep clearly.Setup was quick and easy through the Kasa app, and I love being able to get instant notifications and talk to visitors from my phone. The motion detection is accurate without being too sensitive.If you’re looking for an affordable and reliable smart doorbell with clear video and smooth app performance, this one is a solid choice.
